August Ramblings

Luckily we got back just in time from California  for Miss Eva's baby blessing. I actually spelt her name wrong in the picture above but I have a feeling it won't be the last time.  She is such a cute little chunk! It will be fun to have cousins close to our little girl's ages.

We made it back home in time to play our F.H.E golf night! I must say it has been getting a little harder to golf now days. My belly is getting in the way of my swing! It's still fun to be outdoors with my honey tho.
Roxy and her Rocks!
We went and ate at Baffalo Wild wings with the Bartley's. We decided to play with some rocks while we waited for our food.

Roxy singing her favorite song...."I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee"

Roxy hanging out in her Box. She loves to hang out in these things.

The beginning of dress up!....Roxy will ask us to put on her wings for her so she can flutter around. She makes one cute little love bug

Grandma Joy gave us Jake's old pair of shoes to pass down to our kids. I just thought  we would save them for our 1st boy but then I realized that could be several years from now. So I pulled them out and let Roxy wear them for the 1st time! Now I wish we would have had her walking in them sooner cuz they already fit pretty snug.

Love this picture of our dainty little girl

California Trip with the Rose Clan

California here we come!!!

up..up...and away!!....Roxy's 1st plane ride! She did great! I was worried about her ears bothering her but they seemed to be just fine. We also had Grandma Joy sitting in the row right behind us so Roxy kept herself entertained by climbing back and forth.

I must say Life is just peachy whenever you can spend it on a beach. Roxy is a little beach baby just like her momma :)

This is where Jake and I stayed. Jake's parents rented a beach house and we got to stay in the guest house part of it! We even had a walk-in closet that Miss Roxy slept in. Dani stayed in the living room next to us that had a pull out bed. We definitely were spoiled!

Our bathroom

Our living room and kitchen where Dani stayed

Uncle B waving hello. The rest of the Rose clan stayed in the main part of the house

This was the little outside balcony that connected to Timmy and Isaac's  room. You could see the beach just a stones throw away!

Yes gotta have some juicy watermelon to complete a beach day!

Our daily board walk..walk :)

We got the chance to attend the San Diego Temple which has been a dream of mine for a long time, even more so ever since the last time I visited with my family while Jake was on his mission. It certainly was a dream come true! My new Fav!
SEA WORLD
It's Shamu!

Luckily our place was only a 10 minute drive from Sea World so when we started getting hungry, we went back and had some lunch. We came back later on for the Shamu night show which included fireworks. By the end of the day we were all wiped out.

Roxy picked out a white polar bear for a souvenir.

San Diego Zoo!

Coolest zoo ever! It was like being in a jungle! Roxy loved seeing all the animals.

All the crazy Rose kids!

Love this picture of daddy with his little Dirl :)

The SAFARI
After two full days of Sea world and zoo fun, we topped it off with a trip to the Safari! All three places were with in a 20 minute drive! We had a blast!

We got to go on a little bus drive. It was nice to be able to sit down for a bit and let my pre go body have a bit of a rest from walking!

Beautiful Ocean Sunset

One of my favorite parts of the trip were the times spent on the beach and walking on the boardwalk. Oh and let's not forget the yummy fish tacos Jake and I had almost every day!

Seal Rock. Jake, Pickles and I went to this really cool area that had tons of seals just hanging out all over the place. We were planning on bringing snorkel gear but totally spaced it. We could have swam with the seals! My all time favorite scuba dive ever was when we dove with the seals. They are like crazy underwater dogs. Ricky was able to hand feed a squirrel, he even tried feeding one by his mouth! The funny thing is, we noticed a sign that said "DO NOT FEED THE SQUIRRELS" oopsie.
 San Diego Padres Baseball Game
Dani's hair turned into cute little ringlets because of the humidity! loved it!

This little girl fell asleep just as the game ended. They had a Olympic themed firework show after wards which was really cool. Luckily Roxy was able to sleep through it! She was exhausted.

Bye bye San Diego....until next time! We had a blast!
