Spring time fun....

Roxanne and I had a little girls night. We painted her toes a sparkly purple. She loved playing with the polish and looking at the different colors.

Roxy looks like a little toddler in this pic!! She is getting good at standing up on her own now. We can even walk with her while holding just one of her hands. She will be walking on her own in no time!

Go JAZZ!! I found this headband laying around this morning and I thought it would be fun to take a few pics with Roxy wearing it, it fit perfectly on her!

Roxy loves her Veggies!!
Auntie Mikaela!

I love henna!! This was the first time I have gotten it done. A girl we hired at the spa a couple of months ago does them. I am just going to give her a facial trade in return! I also got a peacock feather on my shoulder with an L & J initials beside it...hee  quite romantic I know :) It pretty much rocks my world!

Mom just playing "dress up" with Roxy....This hat is a bit to small for her now, she is rapidly growing out of all of her clothes!

Well we will be heading back down to Utah for General Conference! We are going to try and see if we can get tickets for a Sunday session. Surprisingly, Jake and I have never been to one together so it would be lots of fun to actually go! I really do love general conference and look forward to it every 6 months. We are so blessed to have the spiritual guidance and encouragement to live a better, happier life. I don't know what I would do with out the stability and structure the gospel gives me on a daily basis.
Watching General Conference brings back some cherished childhood memories. I would always put two banana chairs together and lay a blanket on top so I would have my own little fort  in the middle of the T.V. room to watch conference in. Jake remember his mom's "farty" bran muffins she would always make and still does!...Yup we are gonna be pretty gassy :).

We also have some really exciting news....Jake has been accepted to the U OF U!!! He will be starting online in August and we will be moving back to Utah most likely around Christmas time so Jake can finish his bachelors taking classes on campus. We are going to be extremely sad to leave our cute little "cottage" in the cutest little town ever but we are also excited to start a new chapter in our lives and continue to plow through Jake's schooling so that we can one day have a stable life for our growing family. All I can say is it's going to be an ADVENTURE!!!

Lov'in Life....

Treasured moments with my baby girl
My lovely parents came up for a short visit. They certainly did enjoy spending time with Roxanne. Luckily it was sunny weather while they were here. I had to work for most of the day on Saturday and Jake slept in till 1 or so after working his graveyard shift. My parents took Roxy for a walk and boy did she get some sun, her cheeks were nice and rosy when I got to finally see her at work. My parents were able to get their traditional massage at Sage day spa. After their massages we went and got ice cream (yes, before dinner). My parents treated us to El Jalicience for dinner and we rented a red box.
My 1st set of Eye Lash Extensions!
Sage day spa decided to offer Eye Lash extensions so being an Aesthetician and all I decided I ought to learn how to do them. I was trained by one of the girls I work with and now I just have to practice, practice, practice.
My mom was nice enough to let me give her eye lash extensions, mostly because she was my 1st! (scary I know). We decided to keep it a secret from my dad and say we were just going to give her a facial....3 hours later he walks into the back room and figures that what I was doing really wasn't a facial at all. My mom was sound asleep almost the entire time. We hadn't started till around 9am just after I had put Roxy to sleep. I must say it was one of the most frustrating things I have ever done but I really think I will begin to enjoy it the more I do it. I ordered my own eyelash kit today so I am excited to give extensions a try!

This is what Roxy thinks of her baby food when mom is looking away...yup not much of a fan!

She had fun!

We got Roxy these cute owl pj's at Walmart...they say who's sleepy on them. The funny thing is Jake hadn't realized the emphasis on WHO till we put them on her that night, silly hubby

oh just one of the many pics we have of our happy little girl

and this was the way Roxy chose to sleep during her hour long nap today

We got our 1st little umbrella stroller, of course, from wally world. I was sold as soon as I saw the miniature ice cream cones on it. Jake was opposed since it was too girly. Jake still has high hopes for the chance of us having a boy someday

I fell in love with this diaper bag/purse today as I stumbled across a new boutique in Saint Anthony. This was just one item I couldn't pass up...It was everything I have ever dreamed of in a purse :). In other words, it was calling my name!

I really have developed a love for DAMASK print! This is the beginning of my collection!

Just another ordinary yet wonderful day with my baby girl

We got this water bottle at Sportsman's warehouse in I.F. while we were looking for tents.  This is actually the only thing we ended up getting but Roxy sure does love it!...She seems to drink more water from it than her regular sippy cup....Not to mention her hands free drinking skills!

Just discovering books!

Oh how I love this little girl...She is such a delight

My Aunt Bridgette got this awesome little lip whistle for Roxy as part of her Valentines gift...It was a big hit today!

Roxy looks all grown up in this one!

My sweet little princess

2 years down.....Eternity to go!!

For our Anniversary Jake and I decided that we wanted to invest in something together that we could use throughout the up coming year. We decided that we were going to go and look for tents in I.F. but before we did we decided to grab a bite to eat first....Since we were both in the mood for some Sushi, we found this nice little Restaurant. It was quite a fancy little place. We were surprised because of the area it was in but as soon as we walked in we knew we were in for a treat! (possibly an expensive one). On our way down to I.F. we stopped in Rexburg to close our bank account we haven't used in over a year and to our surprise there was a whopping $200 that we still had in the account! We couldn't have had a better present for our Anniversary, well of course other than being together hee
Roxy LOVED the huge fish pond!

She kept saying hi to the fish...So cute she is

Mom taking her turn with Roxy at the pond while we wait for our Sushi!

Roxy loved Meso soup which had tofu in it which makes mommy happy!

Daddy's turn :)

Just leaving the restaurant with full tummy's....We wouldn't mind eating there again...Jake said that that was the best sushi he had ever tried!
After dinner we went and spent the rest of our 'surprise money' on grocery's from Winco!...how cool are we!! lol After grocery shopping, we headed to an outdoors store to look for a tent. We decided after looking at the prices that we would hold off on the tent since Jake's parents already have a decent one we could borrow while we are still living here in Idaho. We came up with another brilliant idea....We stumbled across hydration backpacks that we could each get for hiking trips this summer! It is sad but I don't drink near as much water as I should....I am sure I will need it when we hike tho! Jake on the other hand is a water guzzler! So after looking for a while, we came to an agreement that we would go home and do some re search for the best deals online. We are super excited for our new tradition! We also want to get us some mountain bikes, maybe next anniversary! We did a bit of shopping at the mall which Jake bought his spider-man jersey he had been wanting ever since he saw it last time we were at the mall a couple months ago so wife agreed to let husband get it. We drove home and gave Roxy a bath then settled down on the couch to watch T.V. I surprised Jake with another slideshow I had been working on during the past couple of days. I did a short recap of our dating, wedding and 1st year of marriage together and the rest was all about our memories we have made during our 2nd year together, the BIG one of course is the birth of our 1st little angel!! We both really enjoyed it. (yes I even got a bit teary eyed) Jake said it made him even more baby hungry! I really want to keep this tradition alive. Last year we celebrated our 1st anniversary in Boise because of Jake's post training. I had also surprised him with a slide show for our 1st year so it has now become an official tradition I plan to keep for years to come! Oh how I love my perfect little family....they mean the world to me! Happy Anniversary Honeybuns!

Well dad decided to tease mom by doing a super handsome goatee. Jake thought it was a joke but I loved it! He thought he looked too much like Jim Rome with it. I thought he was crazy and looked handsome with it....of course he shaved it 2 seconds after this pic was taken....Yes I literally took a picture of it to make it last longer!

To my Eternal Companion.....

Today marks the day Jake and I were SEALED in the salt lake temple for time and all eternity! I can't believe 2 years have already come and gone. I can remember every little detail about that special day.....It truly did feel like a FAIRYTALE dream come true. hee.  I felt like a princess that was finally getting to marry her prince!! After a year of dating, 2 years of waiting and 2 short months that felt like forever....Jake and I took an extra leap of faith and began an official life together as husband and wife. I certainly couldn't be happier to be married to my best friend and love of my life. It took a miracle for our love story to exist...and we thank the lord for making it possible for our worlds to come together. I have grown to love the man I married more each day...It has been the small and simple things that we do for  each other on a day to day basis that has made our marriage blossom. We still have much learning and growing to experience but I know as we focus on the LITTLE things that matter most....Our love will be able to CONQUER above all. I love you sweetie--Always have and Always will :) Muah!!

Sweet Confessions.....

Momma loves Oreo Cookies and baby does too!!!!

Oh yes....life can't get any better than this ;)

Roxy loves to share her food now especially with the dog! It is pretty cute to see her try and feed us.

Well we are looking forward to the Rose family trip in August....Jake's parents have decided to take us all to Cancun in August!!!...We also are going to MR. OLYMPIA in September to see ALL of Jake's buff man crushes...Arnold Schwarzenegger along with all the other past Olympians should be there too. My dad and Chris are going to Join us as well. We are also going to San Diego...My absolute favorite place ever!! It's a good thing I have been collecting a handful of swim suites for Roxanne!! I can't wait to take her to the beach!

Our Sweet Pea

This little girl just gets cuter everyday!! We have loved watching her personality shine through

She sure is growing up so fast!!
 Bath Time!

Every night before bed time we try and fit in a bath...Now when I fill up her tub I can barely get all of her clothes off because she is reaching over to get into the tub. She loves to splash and play with her rubber ducky's.

I actually found this cute robe today that had the tags on it and everything....It said it was for 0-9 months but I just had to use it even tho Roxy will soon be grown out of it!

My little ray of Sunshine

Marble Nails!! So I totally found this awesome way to have spunky looking nails on my favorite website ever....Pintrest!! It took a while to do and I sort of feel like I got more than my fair share of Nail polish and acetone fumes lol. I think they turned out O.K. for my 1st time. I definitely will be doing it again....and again! :)Thank you Pintrest for teaching me new fun and exciting things to do!...You Rock my World!...Yes WAY too many fumes...
