Just a typical day in my backyard :)

Jake and I have really loved living in Idaho. We certainly will miss it when we move away. good thing we still have a while before that day comes but I just love the slow paced life we have up here. It's just a relaxing place to be.  We have been coming up to this place since 1992. I was just 3 years old! We would come up every July for the parade, sand dunes and swimming in the river. I never thought in a million years I'de end up living here! I remember writing letters to Jake on his mission and we would fantasize our lives up here going to school and living in a "cozy cottage together'...and now we are living the dream!  We also have the cutest angel ever to make our lives even better! I can't complain....Life has been Good! ;)

CALI TRIP!!

Dad getting ready for our Cali trip, the Snugly came in handy since we did quite a bit of walking and  we didn't have any room in our rented mini van for a stroller :)
We stopped in a cute little town that reminded me of Island Park by Donner's Pass in California. My Mom fixed us some sandwiches and we took a potty break then we headed off for another 4 hour drive to Santa Rosa.
2nd night in Santa Rosa: We played our favorite card game 31 (better yourself!) Jake and I of course had no cash to put in the pot so we just used pocket change which was a good thing cuz we ended up losing anyways!

Here is were we attended church. We learned about modesty using the head, shoulders, knees and toes rule: head:if you put your hands on your head there should be no mid drift. shoulders: You should be able to feel the sleeves on your shoulders. Knees: shorts and skirts should be long enough to cover your knees. Toes: If you touch your toes you shouldn't be able to see your tooshie :).  She ended with her talk by going over the body parts again the only one i remember is when she got to the feet and how we should keep our feet planted firm in the gospel.
Last day in Santa Rosa: Birthday dinner to celebrate August birthdays...lot's of Filipino Food!
We stayed at my aunt Lochi's house the 1st  3 nights in Santa Rosa for my cousin Nessie's wedding. The Flu Bug Story : Little miss Ali caught the 24 hour flu just before she came on the trip, she then passed it on to my brother Chris then to my Sister in law Brittney which eventually came with us on the trip so my dad and mom both got it then the day of Nessie's wedding Jake and I both got it! oh boy we were both so sick, I have never seen my dad or Jake throw up till this trip. It was sad when my dad had it cuz we went to watch an A's baseball game and my dad threw up in a cup on our way to it.
The morning of the Wedding Jake wasn't feeling too hot,
I was able to attend the wedding ceremony but Jake was too sick so he just stayed in the van. We left early and on our way home we had to pull over so Jake could throw up. He asked after wards why none of us were laughing or taking pictures since he has always felt amused whenever someone pukes. I just felt too bad for him. Right when we got home I started throwing up so the rest of the night we layed in bed and watched the classic movie... what about Bob?
Luckily Roxy didn't catch the flu! She was the only one that didn't. Come to find out some of my relatives started to catch it tho!!...oops :)

SITE SEEING IN SAN FRANCISCO
(Jake's 1st time here- He loved it!)
ALCATRAZ

Yes it was pretty windy that day:)
We just walked around downtown, Surprisingly the only thing we bought was a bread bowl of their famous Clam Chowder Soup....yum!

We got these ribbons at my cousins wedding and I thought they would look good as a headband!
Roxy with Grandpa @ Pebble Beach

The Famous Pebble Beach: We visited the Pebble beach Golf course where many famous Golfers love to play. Jake went into one of the restrooms at the gift shop and they had personal lockers with fancy gold plated name tags for golfers such as Tiger Woods and Jack Nicholas.  Jake wants to make it a goal to play there some day.  It will cost $495 to golf 9 holes there so we will see if it happens! There were tons of deer just chill'in on the course, it was Gorgeous.

We had to pay a fee to get into pebble beach.. It was called 17 mile Trail, there were tons of ritzy houses we drove by. After we spent some time at the beach and golf gift shop we walked around  a little town and I found the best shop ever! It was called Lush, they had all sorts of soaps, cleansers and masks for your body and face. What got me hooked was  that they used mainly natural ingredients and essential oils in their products. I dragged my sister in law into the store and they gave us a scrub and lotion treatment for our hands, it was so nice! We both ended up buying a Face mask and Body scrub! Love it! I also got my mother in law a  clay foot mask that has Cinnamon essential oil in it! I BELIEVE! :) My sister in law just told me they are gonna open up a LUSH story in Salt lake!!!...a miracle that is!!

Jake stacked the highest tower of pebbles on the Beach :)

-Cousins-
Alivia Luz loves playing with Baby Roxy, I'm sure they will be good buds

Seal Rock! one of my favorite site's on the trip. There seems to be more wild life in the Northern part of Cali. I assume it's  cuz no one wants to swim were the ocean is colder so the dolphins and seals are able to swim closer to shore without being disturbed.  It's cool, the best scuba diving I've ever done was with the Seals in Catalina Island. They are like hyper under water dogs!

Best Mexican Restaurant ever! Jake got the steak Fajitas and I decided to be brave and try the special of the day which was  sword fish... it was delicious! We went back the next day with the Fam and got fresh fish tacos for only 3 bucks a taco!

Lovely Lola's 51st Birthday!! We surprised her with Balloons when she walked in to our hotel room!
More Site Seeing followed by a Beach day!
Funny story, we were driving over this bridge and my mom mentioned how it's a famous bridge and I thought to my self what's so cool about this bridge...It was only when we came back around and stopped and climbed down to actually see the bridge when I realized wow this is an awesome bridge! haha  It was scary cuz were we are standing over looks a huge cliff and the ocean.
This is Roxy's 3rd Beach she's been to now! My dad and Jake went boogie boarding here. I was forced into the ice cold water by my sweet husband. It was by far the coldest ocean water I've ever swam in! Jake hoped he would be able to find a golf ball on the beach cuz part of the  pebble beach golf course over looked this beach. Miss Alivia who also goes by Livers, Butoo, Ali, and Jake gave her the newest nickname Miss Gently had a blast playing in the sand with her sand buckets and shovels. I'm excited for next summer when Roxy can join her!

The Rose Fam Bam! We wish Alba Dog could be here, she would have loved playing on the beach. Grandma Joy is watching her up in Saint Anthony with the Rose Clan. Dani said she got Alba to love swimming in the river! Jake and I have tried to warm her up to liking the water but now she just loves it and will jump in without any hesitation! They said they found a big leach on Alba and Dani squished it of her, lots of blood came out!.. gross!

We ended Ma's night with a yummy ice cream cake!

On our way to Reno  we stopped at the outlets in Sacramento then we went to  my mom's cousin Lena's house and she fed us some more Filipino food. The purple stuff I have in my hand is this really good dessert called Ube Ice scream...yum! She had a grapefruit and Lemon tree so we did a little grocery shopping in her back yard!! I wish we had fruit trees like that!!  Of course we were showered with gifts!
It's pretty cool with the Filipino culture they are always giving you gifts and money whenever you come to visit, this time we got lots of cute baby outfits for Roxy.

We ended our last night in Reno, Nevada. Then spent one night in Utah at Jake's Parents. Brit, my mom and I ran in the ward 5k and Brit and I took 2nd and 3rd place we finished in 24 minutes! We will be running our half marathon this Saturday!!! ah!! I'm sure we will do great!! Especially with all the training we have been doing. The 2nd day we got to Cali, We went on our long run (10 miles) with my cousin Kevin and he kicked our butts! We were going up the steepest rockiest  hills that mostly horses or bikers only go on! We ran through 3 different parks, it was fun! I don't know if I could say how much fun it was during the run tho! lol but I'm glad we did it. We were both so sore the next day! Jake was able to find a good deal on gym passes where ever we went. It made him miss working out in bigger gyms since ours is just a tiny little underground gym. We like it tho cuz no one is usually there so it's like our own private gym. I really loved running in California, it was beautiful!
Amy Teel & I getting ready for the Race. It's just a warm up for the BIG run on Saturday!!

Roxy's 2 month doctor's visit...

Well Roxy had to get her 1st set of shots today. Jake and I were not too excited to inflict pain on our little girl but we know it needs to be done sooner or later. I gave her some Liquid Tylenol to help with the pain just before we went over. It's nice cuz Roxy's doctor is just across the street from where we live so we just walked over 5 minutes before our appointment. Roxy weighed in at a whopping 13lbs 7oz! She is in the 61st percentile, which means she is bigger than most babies her age. The doctor said she should be rolling over in the next month! It's been fun seeing her do different things and become more alert. I can't wait till she says Mommy and Daddy! Oh it's going to be so cute! Well as for her experience with getting shots, the nurse had Jake hold her hands together so she wouldn't be startled and I held her legs down and the Nurse and her assistant both stuck a shot in her at the same time in each of her thighs. Roxy's first reaction was complete silence and then 3 seconds later a burst of tears came. They gave her one more shot in the thigh. I had to close my eyes for all of them cuz it was heart breaking to see. After they put pink army band aids on her I picked her up and held her in my arms. My eyes welled up in tears, it was so sad. Roxy cried the whole way home but luckily the medicine seemed to kick in so she calmed down, I fed her, then she zonked out for a long time. We decided to take advantage of the family night golf discount for just $5 a person so we took Roxy with us and she slept through 7 holes until she woke up to eat. We decided since she was doing so well that Jake would do another 9 holes. Well we were wrong..... After 3 holes Roxy just lost it...the pain medicine wore off so we decided to head home and I gave here some more medicine and she calmed down once we got home. For a little while every time she woke up she would cry then fall back asleep, you could tell she was uncomfortable from getting the shots. Precious little girl. Well we have another round of shots when she reaches 4 months so I guess Jake and I better get used to it!

Roxy's Favorite Sleeping Position

Awe last night was the best!...When Roxy went to sleep, Jake and I pulled out my massage table and we gave each other a 20 minute massage and of course we used my wintergreen essential oil which is good for sore muscles! It was so nice! It reminds me of when my best friend Kim lived with me during the Summer while Jake was on his mission and we would give each other massages. I always felt like i was getting the better end of the deal tho cuz Kim was a certified massage therapist, but i was able to learn most of the tricks of the trade by mimicking what she would do. Oh how I miss that girl, she is currently serving a Spanish speaking mission in New York, She will be coming home sometime next May I believe. I can't wait for her to see little Roxy! I also can't wait till she gets hitched and starts having little babies of her own so our kids can play together!
Kim and I started hanging out in 7th Grade, we had gym together. It was sad when we got split up into different high schools but luckily we were still able to remain good friends. I think Kim and I will always be good friends throughout our lives. I love that we have never had any sort of drama in our friendship. Kim is just a happy fun friend to be around.

I wanted to share a little piece of advice that Jake wrote in Ricky's email. Ricky had asked if you could leave with advice to your children (2 sentences long) before you died what would it be.... Jake said " Be where you should be, and do the best while you're there." and "Your loyalty is first to the lord, then your family, then god's other children."
I would have to say mine would be... "Always stay close to the Gospel" and "Live with an Eternal Perspective" I feel like if your doing the things that you should and living the gospel which is god's plan for us to find happiness along with always having a perspective that this life is so short and should be enjoyed then everything will work out in your life no matter what trials come your way.
Well Grandma and Grandpa stock spent the weekend with us. They stayed at a hotel in Rexburg which worked out great since I covered some shifts at Sage so they were able to watch Roxy while I worked. It was nice cuz I was able to go over there and feed Roxy on my breaks, I usually just have to pump milk instead but since she was just across the street it worked out great!! Lovely "G" loved playing with Roxy in the bath tub, i believe that is one of her favorite things to do is bath her grand babies!

Bath time with Lovely "G"

Yesterday we went to Roxy's 2nd Rodeo With Kassie & Johnny and their family along with Uncle Randy & Wendy and Randy's kids, Carlee & Jaycee. I think Rodeo Cowboys are crazy, it was quite interesting watching them get tossed around like rag dolls and get bucked off their furious horses. Gma & Gpa Stock left today

11 weeks!!

Roxy is getting so Big!

Roxy Discovered her little hands!

Spa Day for my Hubby :)

Well my hubby got pampered the other night by his sweet loving wife :) hee. We pulled out my massage table and I put on some relaxing spa music and we did micro on Jake's tattoo with my new microdermabrasion machine! I love it! We have been doing chemical peels as well to try and fade his tattoo, It seems to be working but I'm sure it will take a while for it to be gone completely. we also did a microderm facial. To top the evening off I even gave Jake a back massage with my peppermint essential oil. I love essential Oils. Jake always teases me that I am such a hippie lol. I just think if i can cure things naturally I'd much rather do that before i resort to medicine. Like Tea tree oil is good for ear aches and blemishes, clove oil is good for teething and peppermint is good for headaches. It's nice cuz the oils are good for more than just one thing too. Pretty much anything can be cured with essential oils! I am just a health nut i know :). The other day I had a neighbor come over and she showed me all her essential oils and I was in heaven! I love Lemon, Peppermint, and lavender. I wish I could afford the entire collection of oils, but it's like $500.00. It's nice cuz the day spa I work at sells Doterra oils which is the same oils my neighbor brought over. It was nice I was able to learn more about the oils that we work with and sell. Plus I get wholesale price on them :).
On a random note- I woke up at 6am on Saturday and ran my 1st 10 mile run!!! I drove to Rexburg and tracked 4.5 miles starting from the americaInn Hotel. I ran to the hotel, took a water break then ran back to my car and went around the park track I parked across from 2 times to make it 10 miles! I almost wish I would have just gone the whole 13 miles. I was feeling good enough to do it ne ways! I think I'm going to run the same route 2 weeks before the race which is in 4 weeks from now! The course is a really good training run cuz it's mostly up and down hills the entire time. I also like that I run by the Rexburg temple, it's a gorgeous run. It's always encouraging to see other runners, I feel like i'm apart of some sort of runners club :).
Well starting tomorrow my sister in law- Brittney decided to put together a no candy, dessert, or pop bet. We all have to put in $5 and the person to last the longest wins the potluck! I don't know if I'll make it while we are in California! Which by the way we are headed to Cali in less than 2 weeks for my cousin- Eunice's wedding. It will be fun for Roxy's 1st big road trip! My mom also rented a mini van too! I can't wait to go to the beach!! This will be mine and Jake's 1st trip to Cali together! Although when I was a senior in High school I went with my cousin Chasity for her birthday to look for prom dresses. We got to live like royalty for a week. We got picked up in limos and were driven all over town in a Rolls-Royce that took us to the mall everyday and we stayed in the Beverly Willshire Hotel on Rodeo Drive. Chasity's grandma paid for everything! It was fun! But I was able to meet up with Jake for a day cuz he happened to be on a family trip. It was fun! Oh high school memories :)
