A special day in many ways

The sixteenth is a significant date for Jake and I. Today marks the day that Jake asked me a question we will never forget....We were downstairs at his parents house watching the 1st show of the season of American Idol, yes I was a big fan back in the day...still sort of am. We had our first date in November when he took me out for my 18th Birthday...We had just hit it off since then and became close friends.
Jake looked over at me and asked...."Luchelle, will you be my girl?" He explained to me there was no other girl he would rather be with..hee I gladly said yes and the rest is pretty much HISTORY!! (well of course a lot of anxious waiting for the day we would be sealed in the temple) Jake left on his mission exactly a year to the day that we had been an official item. January 16th of 08. We were then sealed March 16th, and our beautiful baby girl was born this May on the 16th as well!! I am not sure if the other kids to come will be born on the 16th but it could happen. My mom had my brothers and I on the 17th. She was also born on the 17th and they were married on the 17th as well....Yes it is pretty crazy!!! So cheers all the many blessings we have had on the 16th!!! and the 17th as well :)
Jake and Roxanne both mean the world to me and I couldn't be happier to be sealed as a family with them.
Choose your love....LOVE your choice!!!

Not so lucky....

Well on Friday the 13th I joined Jake on his last duck hunt of the season. We had grandma patty watch roxy for a couple of hours. Jake had me all decked out in his sweats and hoodie along with our new s&s camo shirt I put over my hoodie so I looked like a little hunter. Jake even offered his black skeleton beanie but I wanted to look somewhat like a girl so I wore my pink one :). We drove to the black bridge just 5 minutes from our house. We also brought alba dog along for the ride. As soon as we parked we walked across the black bridge which crossed over the snake river. Alba dog of course was too scared to cross son dad had to carry her across. Within 2 minutes after crossing the bridge Jake had shot into the air startling me as I look to the side of me and hear something plop to the ground and sure enough it was a duck! I was amazed at how quickly everything happened. Jake picked it up and we were on our way to another spot. I wasn't as shocked as I thought I would be especially for this being my first hunt ever. Maybe it was cuz I wasn't nor probably will ever be the one actually hunting. Jake has really picked up a love for hunting this year tho. I always kind of assumed he would love to hunt if he ever got the chance to. I am sure we will be a hunting family from here on out. Ne ways as we were walking to a spot along the river I saw that part of the river was ice so me being not so bright decided to step onto it and my leg went right through the ice. My whole leg was drenched. It scared Jake half to death. He thought that I would freeze but really I felt fine. Just a little shaken up but the sweats he let me use seemed to keep the water from my skin cuz I barely felt wet at all. We went on our way till we found a little island in the middle of the river Jake carried alba and I to and we sat and waited for the ducks to come...nothing. So we started heading back and I decided to give our duck a name...Lucky the duck. I thought it was fitting for Friday the 13th. As we were leaving we got to see the prettiest sunset...it was a fun experience just spending time outdoors. I am excited for when our kids will be able to enjoy going on camping trips. I just loving doing things outside.

Soon to be Crawling....

Our sweet baby girl is on the verge of crawling!!! any day now!! she knows how to scoot her way around, usually she scoots backwards up against things then we have to come and rescue her. It has been so fun watching her grow and develop. She is a smart little girl. It almost seems like she is trying to stand up. She NEVER likes to be put down any more. She will lock her legs to try and prevent you from having her sit.

Roxy's 2nd word is.....drum roll please.....MAMAMAMA! We were on our way home from Idaho falls and she kept crying for her mamamamama...I told Jake no she isn't really meaning mommy but he convinced me that she really is! hee Her 1st word was ALBA, I am not sure if I mentioned when she said Alba very clearly the day after Christmas, it was on our way to Provo to stay with Brock and Maddie for the night so we could meet my parents in Saint George the next day. We were in the Car as well! Which isn't a surprise :)

Roxy loves here bath time. She likes to play with her rubber ducky and slash the water, it is so cute. Every once in a while I will join her in the big tub. Jake has even Joined us for a family bath time, it was a tight squeeze I tell ya! :) We just can't believe how fast this little girl is growing up...

Whats in a name?

Jake mentioned liking the name Sariah which means princess, i don't mind it but we do already have a good handful of names already picked out that i like more and we both agree on. i do like when jake comes up with names, I think it's kind of cute. We are always coming up with names for our future kids. I must say I am pretty confident we will use the same names we have always liked since we started dating. I have always loved the name Roxanne, I remember my brother Chris and I would always argue over which names we would get to use Roxanne was one of them:). I believe he got dibs on the name ezra tho. With the way things are going tho we both might end up with all girls! Jake of course is really hoping for atleast one boy. Whatever the lord wants us to have tho we will be more than happy :) we feel so blessed to have our precious little roxy. I decided to look up the definition of Roxanne and I don't think we could have picked a better name!....it means GRACEFUL ROSE, how ironic is that? I just love that. If you can't tell Jake and I are getting just a bit baby hungry, we want to try and space our kids 2years apart so let's hope we can wait just a bit longer! If not that's ok too :)hee

Short Visit in Utah

We stayed at Jake's parents house for a couple of days after Vegas before heading home. For Family night we decided to go to Surf N' Swim! Roxy's Second time in a real pool! We went swimming with her in Las Vegas at our Hotel. She loved it just kicking her feet  and splashing around in the water. She is going to be a little fish like her mom and dad!
Grandma Joy holding Roxy just after she got out of the pool

We opened presents at my house after swimming. Aunt Brit got Roxy a princess belle build a bear! so cute! In a couple of months I am sure she will love it even more!We got Alivia a little bike, she still needs to grow into a bit since her feet don't quite touch the pedals yet but she can scoot on it until then!

Uncle Chris kept asking us if they could keep Roxy :) Soon enough they will have their hands feel with a new arrival this summer!

Grandma Joy saying goodbye. They certainly bonded this trip. Roxy would only go to her grandma when mom was gone. It is always hard saying goodbye.

On our way back home!!...I got this cute little pillow the other day so her neck doesn't droop down when she sleep. We decided to head back up to Idaho a couple days earlier than expected since Grandpa M.J. hasn't been feeling well lately.

Funny story...The past 2 times that we have been over to Gpa's, the Forever Lazy infomercial has come on and every time Grandpa would say how nice it would be to have one so Jake and I found the same Forever Lazy PJ's at Walmart last night!! We were so excited to give it to him :)

Vegas Trip-2012

Grandma Joy got this cute hat for Roxy. We are on our way to Las Vegas! We drove straight to St. George from Idaho, parked our car at the Moss' then hopped in my parents car and drove to Vegas! Roxy has done a lot of driving in her short years of life that's for sure! She does really well on long distance drives, it's the short drives where you stop a lot that she really doesn't like. I am sure she gets a little car sick like her mommy does

Just filling up at the gas station. Just an Hour away to Vegas!

We stopped and ate at my families' traditional Mexican restaurant....CHEVY'S FRESH MEX!...YUM!! We usually go here around March for Nicks birthday plus it was always spring break when we were out of school so it was  a perfect time for a road trip!

CHEVY'S FRESH MEX with the fam :)

Just hanging out at the Hilton hotel where we got to stay for 4 nights. My Aunt Lolita who stays in Vegas a lot was able to get us a bedroom suit for free! We slept on a twin air mattress in the living room yes ALL 3 of us, Chris and Brittney slept on the pull out bed next to us, Nick slept on the floor sandwiched between our beds and Alivia slept in her crib. The first night we stayed up giggling like little children till 2am. We had a blast being in the same room together.

Roxy's classic nose crinkle...We love when she does it!

I have a feeling these two little girls are gonna be close cousins!

We are walking to the premium outlets about 2 miles from our hotel with my mom and dad. We always do tonz of walking on trips which is a good thing cuz we eat TONZ of food!

Just got done eating at the Bellagio Buffet. My Aunt once again payed for all of us! Brit is 4 months a long and they just found out they are having another girl!!! They are going to name her...Ava Monique after Brit's French Grandma.

So funny story earlier on New Years Eve we walked around and decided to go check out the architecture in a newer casino called Aria. It was super fancy! As we were walking in a lady said we needed to pour our drinks we had into a clear cup and mine looked like a beer!! ha nope just an energy drink :) oh and we are singing 2012...can you see it now!

yum :)

It's a NEW YEAR-2012!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
We celebrated Roxy's 1st New Years in crazy Las Vegas. We had fun spending time with my relatives in the warm weather with some of my relatives on my Mom's side. I decided to post pictures of the very end of our trip first just cuz it was the big Highlight of our trip! I will be sure to post more pictures of the trip soon!! Here is just a sneak peak....
Jake and I got our little princess a light up crown we thought was fitting. Roxy was adored by everyone that saw her... it was so cute :)

Waiting on the strip for the count down of the new year....2012!
Lola & Papa with Roxy. We kind of felt like horrible parents having Roxy up till midnight but we made sure she got a good nap in before we went down to the strip for the count down....I have to say It wouldn't have been as exciting without her there celebrating with us!
Our New years Kiss as proud parents of our little Angel!!...Best New Years yet!! It was cool to see fireworks shoot off of every Casino. We have been truly blessed this past year and are super excited for what new adventures 2012 brings us!
